These lights look great when you first buy them, they are very bright and do the job

These lights look great when you first buy them, they are very bright and do the job. However, after a few days in the sun, the plastic begins to melt. I live in the desert of the southwest where temperatures can reach 105 degrees. These lanterns won't survive the summer. And the plastic melted when the windows were tinted. I assume that without touching up they would melt even faster.
