Don't buy that cheap filter pack. I've been using a Whispure air filter in my bedroom for 10 years and never had a problem with it until I bought these cheap replacement filters. Just a few hours after installation, I noticed the room had a strange smell, like a teenager's bedroom. It's a weird smell, like dirty laundry that's been lying around for weeks. At first I thought there was something in the room and I washed and changed all the bedding, checked the carpet for damp spots etc and got more and more mad wondering what was going on. I then turned off the air filter and after a few hours the smell was gone. Bingo. I removed the filters and when I sniffed at them, the activated carbon pre-filter completely reeked of the musty odor permeating the bedroom. To be sure, I checked one of the unused filters that was still in the box and it had the exact same bad musty smell. These are terrible filters and should be avoided at all costs.
