Glad I made the decision to buy the 35% gel instead of the higher 44% of some other brands. As it turned out, I still had some tooth and gum sensitivity during the first few uses, which was greatly reduced when I reduced the amount of gel put in the tray. I expect 44% to be much stronger. The 35% gel worked well and by the third use the whitening effect was evident. My teeth were still sensitive to heat and cold for a few days after I finished a tube and stopped the treatment (because I was already happy with the level of whitening), but I no longer had gum problems after reducing the amount of gel in the bath . Using the remineralizing gel probably helped reduce the sensitivity issues. I will definitely continue to use the 35% gel occasionally and not use anything stronger.
