Review on Visionary Short Sleeve Prim Preux by Peter Bates

Nice polo but not perfect

I asked my husband to try on this short sleeve polo from Prim + Preux Vision. He already owns a similarly styled Prim + Preux polo shirt, the Prim + Preux Energy Polo, which is made from a moisture-wicking material. He likes this shirt so I thought he would like this one. Unfortunately, that kind of let him down. On the plus side, this shirt is beautifully tailored and the fabric (95% cotton, 5% spandex) feels soft yet durable. The collar, buttons and construction around the neck appear high quality and well thought out. However, the way the shirt hugs his shoulders and its overall shape make it less appealing to him than the Prim + Preux Energy Polo. It could also just be a different material, but this polo also appears to be slightly shorter than the Prim + Preux Energy polo. Given the seemingly shorter length and 95% cotton fabric, my husband is a little worried about the shirt shrinking more with washing and drying. My husband is tall and thin so a short shirt doesn't suit him. However, he wore this shirt tucked in at the waist because he thought it looked short and open. However, this shirt is affordable, and if you don't mind the shape or shorter length, there are other positives that you might like. My husband will stay with the Prim + Preux Energy Polo line.

Pros
  • 95% cotton 5% spandex
Cons
  • For old
