So my 11 year old daughter wanted this set for a little fun project. Just looking at it I thought it was just a little dolls room that needed to be assembled in a few minutes and that was the end of the fun. In the end I gave in and ordered. It arrived a few days later so we sat down and opened the package, then started taking all the pieces out of the box and that's when I realized this set wasn't a kid's toy, it was a damn construction site. I mean you have to build everything and I mean everything. The chairs, the walls, the floor, the desk, right down to assembling the bed, it's an intense thing. Being a general contractor and carpenter I think I was more excited about this set than my daughter. Although I have helped her from time to time, she has almost everything ready, which took about 6 days with breaks. Here's my advice if you're buying this set. Everything needs to be glued, so use super glue, there is glue in the kit, but it won't work. Take a pair of tweezers or very small needle nose pliers and a razor blade, these 3 items will make it easier for you. The last thing you need is time and patience because it takes a lot of both. Everything that needs to be assembled has its own easy-to-follow instructions, so don't worry. The best, and I mean the best, this set has to offer is spending quality time with your child and watching them work hard toward a goal.
