I bought this for my grandma in law. When I first opened it I noticed that it was a little oily and there was glue on the metal parts. When I tried to polish it, one of the alabone pieces fell off. I was pressed for time because of her birthday so I just glued it back on. She loved it, kept raving about how beautiful it is. It fit her small wrist perfectly and everything seemed fine. Recently she called me and said she didn't have time. She doesn't live nearby, so don't try to get her back. I think it's a great accessory but don't expect to use it as a long term watch.
