Review on UST Compass Backpacking Emergency Survival by Ryo Flora

We bought these for Cub Scout activities. I don't know if they hold up to daily wear and tear but they survived a day with boys aged 5-11 and we may be able to use them again in the future. We bought a Silva compass for comparison. You can clearly see that the Silva has excellent build quality, but for an item that is more likely to be damaged or lost due to small, wild hands, they have done a great job. Compass quality was good, just as accurate as the Silva in our use. Basically, it's the build quality that keeps me from giving 5 stars. It's clearly aimed at people who want an affordable compass. We ordered 5 and they all worked great and were in excellent physical condition when received. I wouldn't hesitate to offer them to people who have a similar need to mine.
