These mugs arrived on time with no damage or missing parts and was packaged very well. Cup and lid are made of thick, durable, hard, clear plastic. The mugs themselves have 2 layers of plastic with an air space between the 2 layers to prevent condensation, keep the drink colder longer and keep your hand warm while drinking. The room is hermetically sealed and we have not found any leaks. These mugs are of a very high quality and will not crack, tear or scratch. We've washed them in the dishwasher and had no issues with warping, cracking or discoloration. The plastic is very strong and not flexible/rigid at all. The lids are made from the same hard, clear, and durable plastic as the cups. They have an airtight seal around the rim of the lid as well as a translucent rubber ring to ensure a tight fit between the cup and lid when the lids are screwed onto the cup. I've had no issues with the rubber ring becoming loose or falling off and we use these mugs daily and wash them in the dishwasher. Straws are made of thick and hard but slightly more flexible plastic. Straws have a raised ring on the outside near one end to prevent the straw from falling out of the cup. This is a big plus for us as we have an 18 month old who is always trying to pull the straw out of our drinks and this prevents him from doing so. There isn't much clearance between the straw and the hole in the top of the lid. When the cup is tipped on its side, the liquid will flow out of the hole in the straw lid, but very slowly. Pros: - All materials used are very strong and of high quality - Difficult to chip, tear or break - Very snug fit between cup and lid - Very small gap between straw and lid which helps prevent large leaks when the cup spills on the side - Raised ring on the straw prevents the straw from falling or pulling out easily (no deformation, discoloration, cracking) - Double layer of plastic with air between the layers ensures drinks stay cold longer, less condensation, no freezing of the hands while holding a drink. Cons: - Very small, very small amounts of liquid will slowly drip out of the hole in the lid with a straw when the cup is tipped on its side. Overall we were very impressed with the quality of these cups, lids and straws and will be buying them again.
