Like all gauges I tested this one before installing it I used a heat gun to heat the gauge There was no reading on the gauge at all I checked the temperature of the gauge with an infrared gun It didn't rise to 572 degrees Fahrenheit, at least 300 degrees Celsius on the gauge. I closed the choke on the gun to get higher temperatures, then the gauge started reading as it should, so make sure you get the gauge hot enough I am happy with the quality of this setup I ordered two gauges and got the same results with the other so S ie can see the same rating for the other meter.
