Revainrating 5 out of 5

Decorative, not functional; Outer glass bulb explodes by itself

Update: I've used 4 of these in a 3 bulb lamp so far. Two lightbulbs spontaneously exploded within a few hours. Some time after I turn off the light, the outer glass bulb explodes. The internal LED still works, but live metal wires are exposed. Original Rating: I am very disappointed in these pears. I bought them to build into a three bulb dressing table. It's just a small 11' x 11' bathroom with a vanity in one corner, but the 3 bulbs aren't bright enough to use a mirror directly under the light, let alone illuminate the bathroom (so I don't have a dimmer for that is full force). First, the bulbs I received were 4W each, not 6W as the manufacturer tells people in the Q&A. THERE IS NO WAY that any one of them could match the light of a 40 watt incandescent bulb. If you look at the photos posted on the Revain site you can see how dark the rooms look. I am convinced that they are only for decoration and not for functionality. LED Christmas string lights would be cheaper and brighter.
