Review on Carry-On Trailer 817-2 Marker Light: A Reliable Trailer Accessory by Adrian Allen

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The original lights are LEDs and these replacement bulbs are incandescent bulbs.

Bought a new trailer and had to drive many miles to get home. Upon arrival I noticed that the case (not the yellow lens) was broken. I found this replacement that looks exactly like the original. It was difficult to install, not necessarily because of the swap, but because the wiring at the trailer is too tight - there's absolutely no excess play. I could barely get to the clip holding the wires. Due to the lack of an extra cable on the trailer, the replacement cable was not long enough. I cut the wire from the old lantern and use it to extend the wire for the new lantern. When I checked the light it worked but seemed about twice as bright as other lights. I removed the lens and found that it uses an incandescent bulb, while the original uses LEDs, which are much brighter.
