Review on Logitech X300 Mobile Wireless Stereo Speaker by Alicia Mayne

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Design could be better

I just received this speaker and as everyone says it sounds good for its small size but I have a few flaws. First, no power adapter is included. Adapter (although there are restrictions in the instructions for use). Second, it says the battery should last long enough to outlast the warranty period with normal use - which I don't like to hear as I was hoping it would last much longer. Third, it comes with a USB cable for charging, and while it's very short (about 2 feet), I bought it hoping to just set it up in the dining room so I could use my iPhone just as a music source. But if I don't have a computer to listen to music on, I'd rather have one of those USB AC outlets, or else I'll have to periodically bring the speaker back to the computer for charging. Fourth. , there is no battery level indicator so I guess I have to wait until it's empty before I realize I need to charge it. Fifth, changing the battery, while not rocket science, is not very convenient. The manual says that if you don't want Logitech to replace it for you (which means it might not be easy enough for some people), you'll have to buy the battery from Logitech and replace it yourself (which includes a self-unscrewing unit). ). While none of the above factors are a clear barrier to a deal, they may all have deterred me from purchasing this item. But since it's only $30+ and I'm getting a few years off of it, then I'm fine. Luckily it has good sound quality otherwise it would have been returned. But only 3 stars with all its annoyances.
