Unfortunately this was a real disappointment. After buying 3-4 identical blankets (different brands) at a local department store and after a few weeks they just died, I decided to spend more and bought these. I liked that it had an automatic shut off. I can say I was amazed by the softness and size and just KNEW I finally made the right decision. Not the case, he died right after the return window. Absolutely useless to me because who wants to wrap themselves in a swaddle blanket? I have many blankets that I can use for this purpose. For me it was a waste of money :( I'm fast approaching 60 and I'm always cold. I really thought this would be the solution. I have health issues and to be honest I don't turn the heat up in the house that often I can I can't afford it. I depend on a warming blanket. Within the first week it started to "react" and not heat all the coils. I thought that was my problem, spread it out more! wonderful size.It seemed to help. But no, after that it randomly turned off and just flashed the lights on the remote. I found that if I unplugged it from the ceiling, plugged it back in, then unplugged it from the wall and plugged it in Back in, back on and worked for a while.Removing from the ceiling isn't the easiest of tasks as it has a safety catch.It's great but still tricky for those who may not have the strength of hands have.) Now it turns off and flashes about every 30 minutes and suddenly I realize I'm cold and I see that it's no longer activated. I've tried different T-sockets, power cords from power surges, same result. He has been completely dead for 3 days. So sad. I paid to get a more reputable brand and I know Revain stands by the products they offer. But now I've missed the return window on February 22nd and I'm thinking whoever wants to wrap up the blanket and send it back goes to the post office or UPS, at an additional cost if you have health problems. It's a nice sense of quality and size but it doesn't help if it doesn't work :( I'm sure Revain customer service would help as always! But it's too late. It will be a simple lump sum donation to a local charity and i am glitching controller.
