Revainrating 4 out of 5

Really great mount and great price - read why only 4 stars

Well after a month of use finally got the TV installed. I would give it 5 stars but it had some flaws that some might agree. SETUP: Samsung 55" 8000 Series Mounted in basement above fireplace Top row bolted to horizontal studs Bottom row bolted to drywall PROS:* First, no matter what the cost, it weighs a ton... Okay, maybe about 45 pounds, from those are mostly hands I'm not worried about mechanical failures causing my "baby" to fall on the mantel *installation package possibly the best I've seen is what you get from a $200 kit would expect.* Installing and assembling the TV was very easy: Install the brackets on the back of the TV and hang it on the round cutout plate Tighten the bottom screws to lock it in place Done * Assembled - in Level on the back ensures level installation *Price: Just great CONS: *Weight A: I know it's in the pros too but the weight makes it almost a 2 person setup I have it myself st made, but I'm 6ft 4" and quite burly.* Mounting Flexibility: I had a horizontal stud which made it VERY secure at the top, but it left me almost NO height flexibility. liked it about an inch higher but had no choice. Now, when moved, it kind of scratches the mantelpiece, which doesn't make the woman happy. Hence a star was deducted. If you have vertical rivets this would be a 5 star product. * Ease of movement: I don't know if this will work out of the box, but some joints are very difficult to move Due to the many joints, it is difficult to move, but it is almost impossible to lean it against a wall : I would recommend this product recommend based on design and cost. Again it would have been 5 stars if there was vertical play but still a great product.
