I was originally looking for a longer run time chopper; But tax season aside, most of the time I just needed a good, reliable paper shredder to shred the daily mail. The advantage of this is that you can remove the head for cleaning, so that when you empty the basket, all the little bits of paper don't fall onto the floor and into the cavity of the pull-out shredder: don't overfill as long as you put it on. Likewise; If something gets stuck in the cutting bars, you can reach them to free the object more easily than with a steady head. Good value for money.
