Very handy: lights and ceiling fans
I've used different types of LED strips and I think it's worth spending a few bucks more to get app controlled ones. The remote control has some downsides, especially if you have multiple strips in the same room. The same remote control can accidentally change others, but this is not a problem with the application. Even if you have multiple lights controlled by the same application, you can easily separate them. I also like that it's easier to find the blink/breath pattern you want on the app while there's a lot of guesswork with the remote. The lights themselves are very pretty and super bright, but you can customize them if you'd like.
