beautiful little jars. some of the blue jars and bottles i have purchased in the past have had the blue sort of glazed or painted onto clear glass, which i hate since this means it will eventually peel or scratch off. as far as i can tell, the glass is actually blue on these. the liner inside the lid is some sort of polyethylene foam, but it is not glued in, so easy to remove for replacement or cleaning. i re-use all of my jars, so the cardboard-like liners are okay, and less chemical, but don't hold up to much wear and tear before failure. i make my own face lotion with organic virgin coconut oil (Dr. Bronner's is the best!) and a few drops of essential oil like lavender or bergamot, maybe simmer with comfrey leaves. these are the perfect size for travel or moderate amounts. purchased from seller Juvitus; easy, fast, pleasant transaction.
