From a distance these numbers look normal but at the edge they look torn. The numerals appear to have been formed by punching a blank sheet with a fairly blunt-edged die, so the edges of the numerals were compressed plastic rather than neatly trimmed, leaving the edges blurry and torn. In any case, the end result is that the numbers don't have the clean and smooth edges that you might expect. Also, the numbers seem to match up well and, like I said, they look good from a distance.
