These are beautiful and soft carpets. I washed them 1 time (both in one load) with my regular laundry soap in my old agitator washing machine. Only two or three short strands of yarn came off in the wash. The mats came out on the beat and still look and feel great. Some of the other posts came loose when my kid decided to put a band aid on them and then pull them out. If you have the word "stick-aids everywhere" I'm sure it's useful information :/ I've also run a rug through a running shower and then thrown it on the floor to see how well it absorbs water . He took water well. I also wanted to test how slippery they are when wet (my sister had a memory foam rug a few years ago that almost killed me sliding across the wet floor). The KMAT mat didn't slide much - even after I got it wet and intentionally tried to make it slide. They are soft (though not soft) and good looking, and are washable and safe when wet enough. One is slightly larger than the other as described and the measurements match the written description (they appear larger in the picture but the measurements are accurate, see tape measure pictures). Yes, I would recommend mats currently priced at $27.99 or less. * A bottle of Nesquick and Gatoraide for on-screen color reference.
