I have invested quite a bit in many baskets that look like these so I know they are dented from packaging and shipping. The steamer helps smooth out the creases, but I found it easier to stuff with a blanket, dampen with water and leave for a few days. Although they're quite wide, I could slide them on an ironing board to get to the small rectangular crease that's most noticeable. I used the wool setting on my iron and moved quickly with pressure, which worked well, but your iron may be different so start with a lower setting. I use them to hide and store leftover fabric. I use heavy vinyl and outdoor fabrics so the baskets get loaded quite heavily, over 25 pounds. After putting them on the bottom shelf and back on the grate I found they really need support on the bottom or it's a struggle. So I cut out some very thick cardboard to fit in the bottoms, which made moving them around a lot easier. The vinyl leather-like grips are riveted and have held up so far, but I can strengthen them due to the heavy objects and abuse I've put them through. It has a three-layer synthetic canvas-like exterior, a thin synthetic inner layer, and 1/8 inch thick, dense, synthetic-foam-like foam sandwiched in between. Once you straighten the creases, they will stand up on their own. I'm very happy with the size and will be ordering more to hide/store items on the nice shelf in the guest room. They have plenty of depth to fit lots of stuff without looking cluttered and nothing protruding from the top. They look good, are durable and fold compactly for storage when not in use. Just keep in mind that upon arrival they are crumpled and it is on the list. I hope this was helpful, thanks!
