The S 807 sounds great right out of the box, even before you break it in. Ideal for rock or pop music. The audio is live and forward. Lots of bass. A subwoofer is not required for a 2-channel stereo system. Also note the front firing ports, which allow for placement close to a wall at the rear without creating a thump. This is a big advantage. The speakers have a well-designed, attractive, sleek matte black chassis. No fake wooden things. They are quite heavy and very stable on their screw down feet with pads that won't damage bare floors. I will update my review if the sound changes after playing it in. Maybe vocals and classical strings are smoothing out a bit? However, the 807s are a lot of fun and enjoyment at the moment and are a solid value.
