I bought this mic as an 'add-on' item for $3.61 for free as a 'backup' mic. I figured it might come in handy if one of my quality units gets stolen or suddenly goes out of service. It's definitely a "you get what you pay for" proposition, as it won't pick up low voices, sounds tinny, and doesn't have the heft of a quality mic. . . And yes, it's plastic. However, it's the perfect mic for situations where you don't want to risk quality gear. Your kids can play around with it, and since it doesn't pick up as much bass or rumble, it can work well for speakers that have little or no space between the mic and their lips. Pros: works. Supplied with cable. SwitchCheapCheapCheap. . . but you get what you pay for. Cons: Poor recording. Does not transmit a clear signal to the amplifier. Very easy. . . Plastic, weightless, feels cheap The included cable is cheaply made, with molded plastic XLR and banana plugs, and is too short
