Thick foam cut-out to keep these mugs perfectly secure to keep. I don't see how anything less than running them over with a van or actively participating in a fight with the Hulk could harm them. This packaging is good because it seems that a light touch on the cups will cause the glass to explode, but I think that's just because the cups are deprived of light. I haven't had a problem with them, but I honestly treat them with the utmost care. You are very attractive and when you make nice coffee it is almost a topic of conversation. So far, so good.
