I ordered a black upper with a black sole. I was a bit disappointed not to smell the leather when opening the box and later realizing that the upper is synthetic. However, my disappointment quickly dissipated when I put them on. Shoes look like leather and actually wear like leather. These are essentially Cole Hann Zerogrand wingtip knockoffs but are sold at a much lower price. Like Cole Hann's latest Grand series, I'm not a fan of the split soles that replaced the layered soles of the older Zerogrands. They give the shoes a chunky look that feels too casual for a business casual look. Also, I suspect those deep crevices collect dirt and let it fall to the floor as it dries. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with the shoe in terms of comfort and the look of the upper. I wish the soles came in more colors. I would recommend them.
