Solid patch very easy to use with few adjustments

I bought this to fix an old wetsuit that had a torn seam. I was a bit taken aback after reading the reviews which gave conflicting instructions. I ended up following the instructions that came with the repair kit pretty closely with a few modifications. Here's what I did: - Clean the area with rubbing alcohol and let it dry completely - Make sure the wetsuit is on a flat surface and WITHOUT WREAPS (this is more important than stressing people - if your wetsuit isn't completely flat , the patch does not fully adhere to the creases) , and I have a feeling this might ruin the whole patch) -- Cut off material with rounded corners and lots of room -- Switch the iron to the wool setting (non-synthetic/ Delicate wash as instructed) - I used synthetic at first and the material didn't seem to stick at all. I changed it to wool and then I started to see extra glue around the edges (see pic and it seemed a lot more secure) - Uses the iron-on paper that came with the kit. I did not use a towel as others have suggested. I thought this would reduce the heat too much, especially if you're using the Synthetic/Delicate setting! -- Firmly press for 10 seconds each, then move paper and iron. - There were a few wrinkles. in my wet suit, and this is where I want to warn you. If you have a section that doesn't lay perfectly flat, I would recommend cutting out individual pieces of the patch, as many as you need so that each piece lays flat. I ended up cutting small gaps in the patches to allow each piece to lay flat as the material was stretched over the fold of my wetsuit and I am concerned that this could become a new hole. All in all it was pretty quick and easy. been in use and the patch seemed to be sticking well. If you are reading this, assume that I enjoy surfing. I will update this review if not!
