I bought this for my surface 7 because the price was great and I was nervous about just putting my 7 in my backpack. It slides onto the back of the Surface Pro with little effort, even though my Surface Pro has stickers on it. There's an additional plastic sleeve that slips over the Surface Pro's stand and then snaps into the main body of the device, and it works really well. The only issues I've had with this device is that it can be a bit tricky at times to slip a magnetic charger into the recessed slot for it. Even if you don't have a keyboard, there's nothing to protect the front of the tablet. If you have a keyboard, the case comes with an elastic strap that snaps easily to secure the keyboard to the tablet surface when not in use. This seems like a great case if you are a cautious person. If you're prone to accidents you might want to look for something a little more armored, again this case will add some weight and bulk to your tablet, but it's all easy to handle. It comes at a great price. Mine is $29 and it offers some maintenance. I'm not sure how it will survive a drop test, although the corners are well protected.
