My baby is 9 months old, he is chubby. Based on the reviews I ordered 18 months and they fit perfectly as there is enough room below for his legs. And it's stretchy, so before I put it on, I kind of stretch it so it's less tight. So if your kid is chubby, take a bigger size because they are really tight. Besides, they're great. They're soft, don't wrap around your neck like the other brand I bought, and they're breathable too, which is a big plus. I bought another brand because I wasn't sure I needed these snug fitting shoes, but I immediately regretted it. They are made from organic cotton and are absolutely breathable.
