Frustrated and thinking I was doing something wrong I went online to look up the specs for CAT5E and CAT6 and found that the wires in CAT5E are 24 AWG and those in CAT6 are 23 AWG. This is misleading as it also states that this applies to 24AWG conductors which only apply to CAT5E cable. I double checked the list before posting this review and noticed a tab that says you have three color options. When you click on it you have three different connection options, they are all CAT6. I bought one that says CAT6 24awg. As far as I know, CAT6 only uses 23 AWG conductors, not 24 AWG, another way to confuse buyers.
