We use this on our propane stove and have had no problems with it. This is not our first glass teapot. To be honest I have to tell you that in the past I've broken quite a few of these due to poor wash handling. Although they behave perfectly on the stove. I've never had breaks on a gas stove. Overall, this pan looks great and is suitable for small gatherings. 3-4 people maybe depending on your cup size. The internal diffuser is very large, allowing you to brew very strong tea and then dilute it with water. All in all, this is a great kettle. We have three kids in the house and they know not to fool around.
