I had a portable garage about 40 feet from an outside outlet. I put a plywood floor inside. It's always dry. I'm disabled and can't do much. I simply placed the end of the outlet on the roof rib/roof beam and used a good light bulb to let the outlet hang down about 3 inches and connected the other end to the surge protector that goes to the Outside socket leads . Tower Manufacture 30339005 15A GFCI 3-Wire Socket Adapter . I put a surge protector in the boat. So I just walk to the side of the boat in the dark, follow the chord and hit the switch. Now I could host a weekly poker game there. Works perfectly . ideal temperature. Although I hope it will last for many years and the Shelterlogic portable garage unit is easy to install where it is placed. I hear about a new skin about every 5 years and it could go on forever. Hopefully . These metal pendant lights would be an option but I would need an adapter with a chain. The switch on this toggle switch is about 4 feet from the end of the plug. It wasn't a grounded plug.
