Review on Timex T625B Auto-Set Triple-Alarm CD Clock Radio with Nature Sounds in Black – Limited Stock by Max Rosengren

Revainrating 5 out of 5

He does what I want.

I agree with what Orion said in his review. I've spent too much time looking for a clock radio. I've narrowed my list down to: - reliable time (atomic clock or very good battery backup) - sleep function for the radio - timer to turn on the radio - good reception - fairly good sound from my own speakers or through my spare mini-jack computer speakers connected - radio presets - inexpensive. After buying and sending back three other clock radios, I bought this one. The first two had decent reception but poor speakers and no headphone jack. The next one had features I really liked and even had a headphone jack, but the reception was lousy. I am very happy with this radio alarm clock CD player. This clock radio has one of those wire antennas. I mounted it on the wall and it works great. I live far away from Chicago so I need good reception to get my favorite Chicago FM radio stations (I don't know about Am band reception, I guess it depends on the sky. I got WSM , but not very often.) The speakers are so-so, but I plugged in my computer's speakers to get pretty good sound. (Don't expect miracles in sound quality, but it was acceptable.) The footprint is great for my cramped bedside table. If you have limited nightstand space, the radio is approximately 8 3/4 inches high, 7 1/2 inches deep and 4 3/4 inches wide. These measurements are approximate and are measured at the widest points - this is a curly box. The CD player is on the side of the box as shown in the picture. The hinge is on the back so the door opens front to back. Other features I like: - big snooze button on the front of the radio presets! (Annoyingly, the lack of multiple presets - there are 12 FM and 6 o'clock presets here.) - Repeat, Shuffle and Repeat/Random CD modes (I personally don't like Random, but love Repeat) - Time display on about 7/8" tall bold numbers - the off button has a groove to distinguish it from other buttons - date, radio station or CD track is shown in the lower right corner of the time - battery level indicator should show if the backup -Battery is low - easy to read in the manual that the CD alarm and the buzzer have the same setting, when you set this alarm (there are two other alarms, one for the radio and one for nature sounds) either will sound the buzzer at the set time or play the CD depending on whether there is a CD in the box does not prevent me from using the box sounds of nature I can not confirm I do not like at all things I do not use this function I am very add fried with this box. I was hoping to find the features I needed in a cheaper package. kage but it suits my needs plus it has a cd player.
