I found they served their purpose as they heat up well and are a decent size, but they don't seem to hold heat as long as some of the stones I've gotten from real massage sites like massage shops. I'm not sure why this matters, but for me it's very noticeable when used in combination with other higher quality stones. Also, they are flat rather than rounded, making them uncomfortable for the hands. In addition, the flat shape is also poorly suited to adapting to the contours of the human body. For example, if I want to sink into the buttocks or piriformis, I prefer a round stone that sinks its shape deep into the tissue and utilizes the entire stone. They are fine for bulking or fillers on the body but as these are the only stones used in practice they will not work for me.
