Review on Husky 31995 600-pound Weight Distribution Hitch and Sway Control with 2-inch Ball by Nate Skinner

Hitch installation instructions are minimal but clear. It took quite a long time (several hours) to install and adjust everything to level the trailer. On my first try the ball was too low and I had to disassemble and adjust everything. But once set up, I'll never have to do it again for this trailer. But my biggest gripe is the rivets holding the "latches" for the spring bars. The second time I used the hitch, the rivets fell out and the spring-loaded latches fell away, leaving nothing to hold the main bars in place. Luckily I was at home and not on the road somewhere. I drilled and tapped rivet holes and inserted #10x24 threaded bolts to hold the latches in place. (see photos). Now I don't have to worry about losing them along the way. Due to this obvious technical defect, I deduct two stars in the rating.
