Review on 🎧 BluDento BLT-HD, Hi-Fi aptX HD Bluetooth 5.0 Music Receiver with Long Range, Integrated Burr Brown DAC, for Streaming Audio to A/V Receivers, Powered Speakers, Amplifiers by Nicole Davis

I have a decent home stereo with Wadia Intuition Preamp/DAC/Amp, Tyler Acoustic speakers, Voodoo cables, Oppo vehicle, DVD player etc. But I was willing to sacrifice the sound quality. for the convenience of using my iPhone to stream. I tried the wired interface for a couple of years and then Blue Tooth, started with Arcam (blah), switched to Auris (better but too bright and thin) and now finally Blue Dento. Having recently upgraded my iPhone to 10XR, I figured I'd upgrade to a device with the latest Bluetooth 5.0 standard to see if there's a difference. The Dento looked solid, had great reviews, was inexpensive, and had both coaxial and optical digital inputs. Wadia has a great DAC so I decided to just use the digital inputs. After trying out the audio inputs, the DAC on the device couldn't compete with the $8,000 Wadia. Curious to see how close it was - and it wasn't. But thanks to the digital outputs, it was a big step forward for Bluetooth audio devices. Granted, the improved phone helped a bit, but the subtlety and brilliance of Bluetooth that I'm used to is gone. Weight, fidelity, separation, sonic staging, etc. were back and surprisingly closely competed with CD quality. For 100€ I am very satisfied with the camper. One thing to keep in mind is to give him enough playtime in your setup for him to really break in. Initially, the upper registers sounded quite harsh, with graininess, break-up and bright edges, while the lower registers were stuck. However, this is a common thing to do before turning on audio devices. After day 5 or so everything fell into place, the highs, mids and lows were all in place and the sound was amazingly luxurious and realistic. to make improvements. But for the price, I'm more than happy with the improvement the BlueDento 5.0 bt has brought to my system.
