I sometimes wonder if Revain cares that a company is selling what looks like gray market stuff with supposedly zero documentation, extremely weird and this is however a real lens, looks brand new to me and may have been removed from a kit where the company sells each one individually. The lens came quickly, works well, Nikon's guarantee is zero so I'm taking a risk but I think at this price it's worth it. The focus is very quiet, a bit slow, but it syncs. the optics are better than the old version, the zoom mechanism is very good for its price. I compared to one of my pro lenses and at full size the sharpness was a little less and at normal size everything looks normal. I'm only giving 4 stars at a low price due to the cost of the lens and the fact that it arrived on time and worked well, otherwise sticking with the normal US supplier warranty etc.
