Although the product is opaque (opaque as shown in the photos). which I haven't found (after doing a lot of research on others) are pretty clear unless you get glass. but good for my pantry, I can still see the produce. Love the fact that they have labels that you can create. The lids closed easily. I ended up having to buy another set. I didn't do a water test. I like the fact that I can organize and fold it. takes up a lot less space in my pantry. It was a disaster! And NO, the big one doesn't fit in a 5 pound bag of sugar. I don't know, maybe it's Asian liters? but my 5 pounds of flour and sugar won't fit in. So I have to buy another set. but I'm fine with that because they're big and don't take up as much space (too wide = less pantry space than the 5lb models). I don't use a lot of flour and sugar. This set works for me because it comes with 4 petals and the other sets only come with 2 petals. You need to research what your needs are. For my needs they are great. Just make sure to wash them before putting anything in them as the containers have a weird film on them.
