Review on Optimized Travel Case for Elgato Stream Deck, Adjustable Stand, and Accessories - Travel Case Only by Kate Korte

Bulky, poor design for Stream Deck

I was under the impression that CaseMatix had already made this case and found the Stream Deck to be a good fit technically, so they sold the product to that audience. twice as high as necessary. I respect the addition of height for the padding, but the case is 3 inches tall compared to a 1.25 inch tall unit (including the stand). . When placed inside the case, the cable protrudes beyond the back of the case and kinks awkwardly. With enough movement or an unfortunate impact against the side, this cable will break permanently. (Actually, it's a shame Elgato didn't redesign the device with a detachable cable.) There's plenty of room for whatever you want to house. It is so high that a removable hard drive and cable can easily fit in it. If you do NOT put other bulky items inside, you can actually feel the Stream Deck bouncing up and down as you move the case. (The flap and Velcro do nothing to prevent this.) I appreciate the solid construction and strong, flexible zippers, but that's not the case for a $150 device with a sensor cable. I return it for another style.
