He just arrived, immediately opened it and was so excited. I ordered it for my desk at work. The description says QUIET IT IS NOT QUIET. My colleagues have the same, but are silent. I'm helping clients at my desk All day I couldn't focus on this walking around. I've tried to determine what is rattling but I can't. It's very nice, good breeze, just too loud with a rattling noise. I'll bring it to work on Monday and try it out. It might seem less noisy in the office. Update: so loud and rattling. It doesn't stay on, you have to wiggle it in the USB connection. Other USB fans in the office work fine. Cheap junk plastic even compares to Walmart's metal 5.00.
