. All rave reviews will help you choose a good product. Incorrect

UPDATE: Dealer/Seller (Hippidion) noticed this review and offered me a USB car charger to solve my problems. No thank you. I can appreciate this gesture but I don't have a car to match it! Even if I did, I would still need a working mouse pad, not a power adapter. First Review: You might think that all the rave reviews will help you choose a good product. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Who knows. Maybe some genius at the factory decided to change the way they were made and I'm one of the first suckers to get one of their new versions. First and foremost, not a single mouse I have will not leave a mark on this surface. I have 3 wireless optical mice to choose from. Bluetooth HP, Bluetooth Logitech and oddly Bluetooth TeckNet which works very well. All are relatively new and none of them have tracking issues on almost every surface I put them on. With this panel, it refuses to move the cursor more than a few pixels. After all, that's the main reason for using a pad, and this one fails miserably. Secondly. Gel residue is not 100% gel, if any. It's multi-layered, not gel-based - very hard and tough. It sticks right out of the matte area, about 1/4 the height of the rest of the area. It's uncomfortable and tends to dig into your wrist, when you move the mouse towards the bracket itself. That what they want to call "gel" should be some kind of hybrid, like memory foam dipped in some kind of gel-like substance to mimic the hard gel you only think you're paying for. It takes shape very slowly (like memory foam) and is too soft to offer any real support. I had a basic flat mouse pad that I placed on it to at least try to fix the lack of tracking, but within 15 minutes of using it that way, the palm rest had a permanent dent in the center. Also, it became extremely inconvenient to use for more than a few minutes. It's not gel, it's garbage. So far I have been using one of the original blue 3M fabric gel pads for years, but which no longer exists. I often had to save mine, delete it - and it still doesn't seem to have found a worthy replacement. I can guarantee you that this is NOT a last resort. I will wash 3M at least once more, because the thing is not suitable as a mouse pad. Return to Revain for a refund.
