I LOVE THIS BLANKET! First I machine washed in cold water and dried on a very low temperature. It turned out quite well. My lint collector looked like I was gathering wool from a sled dog team during molting season. The duvet is very soft and perfectly warm. I have used an electric blanket for years and the occurrence of hot flashes has made this level of heat undesirable. This duvet feels warm as soon as I go to bed and the natural fibers keep me warm. It also seems to negate the cold leaf effect, which is a big plus. Soft acrylic blankets just don't cut it, alpaca wool is the perfect solution for me. Gray with purple is beautiful.
