I suspect that this product does not meet US emissions and chemical standards. It was at my house for 3 months and during that time it smelled very strongly of chemicals that were obviously used in the manufacturing process. I suspect formaldehyde although I haven't tested it, but I recognize it because I've been around it before. I ended up having to throw it away. I suspect he went unnoticed on the issue of US furniture regulatory requirements. I used to work on a construction site and have never smelled such a strong and persistent odor. If a product has an odor, it usually comes with a warning label and the odor goes away after a while. In this case it is not. Once I got rid of it I had to wash all the clothes I kept next to it. After this horrible experience I have decided never to buy furniture from Revain and now use other websites where I have not had to deal with this problem before or buy from a store. This experience was terrible and I encourage buyers to ensure all items comply with US emissions regulations. DO NOT BUY THIS!
