I don't know what dark magic was used to make a brush that removes stubborn dirt without scratching surfaces, but I'm all for it. I've been using the same dishwashing brush for nine months - and I don't have a dishwasher, so I really wash everything with it. Unlike all previous sponges I have used, it does not smell, does not get dirty, does not stay wet for long and does not fall apart. The brush I've been using for the past nine months is almost indistinguishable from the unused spare brush I have at home. In addition, it does not throw any plastic parts into the water and does not create any further dirt. I use dish soap a little faster than with a plastic sponge, but the trade-offs are definitely worth it.
