The quality is good but the strap is needed.
They fit a little more than I thought they would but the return process was easy and straight forward. My son loves them and they have plenty of room to grow. He jumped in many puddles and his fingers always stayed dry. We have purchased other pairs in different colors and are happy to support the Canadian company.
