I love this product! I live in Minnesota and have bad knees. My kneecaps tend to "shift" when I move clumsily. In winter, when roads and sidewalks are covered with ice, standing or walking becomes more of a challenge. This product has helped me a lot to become more confident in winter. I no longer have to worry about moving or hurting myself. I don't even notice when the ground turns to ice. Can't say much about how they hold up on snowy hikes, but if you're looking for an everyday ice solution then this is definitely worth trying!
