Mounting springs are not of the highest quality. A carpet on the bottom step as shown in the picture prevented the steps from retracting. After some "fumbling" it fit on the top step, although the measurements aren't quite right and after a full day of stowing, "crimps" are visible on the mat. It works well as a shoe brush and is easy to clean. Like a quality part for your RV, not so much. We recommend finding a flat rug of similar material and laying it on the floor at the base of your stairs. Wouldn't recommend or buy again.
