Haven't worn it in the rain yet but will soon. I'm 5'4" and about 165 pounds. I chose the tall size after realizing the regular size didn't offer the coverage I needed. The tall length gives me back protection when I'm ever want to sit on a wet surface. Reg size would be too short for me for that. don't get involved. I prefer more coverage than less. This item seems to be lightweight but I believe it will protect against wind and rain. what a Jacket can't.The hood is detachable and has a drawstring to keep it as close as possible.I could put my own buttons on each side to prevent the sides from bloating and coming out on windy days.When I got the package opened the clothes didn't smell like plastic or rubber.I would have given it 5 stars but I haven't rain tested it in a while.
