do anything but bear the weight straight down. The instructions I received don't mention the long screw that secures the base of the mount, but this component is critical to a secure installation. Without that screw, the mount was loose and felt pretty unreliable. However, once installed I feel comfortable enough, the mount is more than enough to function as a regular Vesa mount. Please note that the bottom screw needs to be permanently installed, and the top round brace rubber screw needs to be installed before installation. There is not enough room to install the top screw and the bottom bracket just flexes enough to make it extremely difficult to install the bottom screw.
