This is a very beautiful necklace - in reality it is much more beautiful than the photos accompanying the product description. It's quite long; it is 36 inches long, not counting the extension (of which 12 inches is a chain and 24 inches of beads strung and tied onto a brown braid), and it comes down about four inches below my breastbone. Crafted from a silver metal alloy, the beads are small, approximately 1/8 inch, and shaped in a geometric shape. Each bead is individually knotted so they are all oriented differently and reflect the light in interesting patterns creating a beautiful effect. The three strand necklace is quite heavy but not too uncomfortable. I have a few more necklaces from Richera and the beads are always well made but sometimes the hardware is so-so. This is not the case with this particular necklace - the lugs and chains are well made and the lobster clasp works smoothly + no gaps in the rings I am very happy with this necklace it is unusual and fun to wear it goes with everything in my everyday wardrobe from t-shirts to sweaters to denim jackets it's well made and I think it's worth its current price of $16.99.
