Very soft and so cute! It was very stretchy which made it very easy and comfortable for our adult dog to put on for her. Not very thick to keep them warm without overheating them. Knitwear is washable. The only complaint I have is that the small pompom bow tie was glued to the back rather than sewn on so it came loose on the first wash and I had to manually sew it back on with a few stitches. Nothing bad, but annoying, and it's so easy to get a manufacturer to make a really great product, they just have to do it in the first place. All in all we love the sweater and so does our dog Misty. She comes over and sticks her head in the hole so she can put on her sweater. It seems to bring her some comfort to wear.
