Easy to assemble fruit basket. The upper basket bends a little, this is normal. It is good for storing apples, peaches, onions and garlic for a single occupant of the house. A family of four with teenagers eating fruit and veg may need more space than this combination suggests. The bananas I buy are long and hanging would actually take up space in the bottom basket, reducing the space available in that basket. I understand that the second basket that the basket hangs on cannot be higher and can fit under the cabinets above. My job of attaching a banana hook to the back of the top basket keeps the bananas away from the bottom basket to free up space there, but takes up more countertop real estate. There is enough space in the top basket to reach fruit with a 17 inch clearance under my cabinets. I might have had better results with a duo of larger baskets and a separate banana holder. I don't want to buy smaller bananas that fit in this container.
